Dr. Esther Obasi-ike

Pastor Esther Obasi-ike, Ph.D., is a dynamic preacher, mentor, and internationally recognized inspirational speaker whose leadership spans over three decades. Since giving her life to Christ in 1984 and stepping into Christian leadership in 1987, she has served as a conference facilitator, consultant, counselor, and educator. Alongside her husband, Pastor Prince Obasi-ike, she pioneered the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Eastern Africa in 1996, becoming a beacon of hope through faith-driven community transformation. Ordained in 1997, she has led impactful initiatives that combine spiritual guidance with practical empowerment.

In 1996, she founded Queen Esthers’ Generation (QEG), an interdenominational women’s movement with a mission to Transform, Equip, Empower, and Engage women for Christian service. The ministry operates in six arms, including monthly outreach programs, youth mentorship through Queen Esthers’ Next Generation (QENG), evangelism funding, prayer networks, compassion programs, and community development. QEG now spans multiple counties in Kenya and has chapters in Canada, the USA, India, Rwanda, and Australia. QENG, launched in 2015, specifically mentors girls aged 13–20 in moral leadership and life skills, having already transformed the lives of over 500 young women.

Her influence extends far beyond women and girls, impacting communities through education programs, anti-substance abuse initiatives, scholarships, and economic empowerment projects. She has led mentorship and development efforts in marginalized regions like Turkana, established widows’ empowerment groups, and initiated prison outreach programs. Committed to sustainable impact, Pastor Esther envisions a world-class Institute for Leadership, Mentorship, and Development in Kitengela to institutionalize these programs. Despite cultural resistance, such as the removal of street signs honoring the institute, she remains steadfast in her advocacy for structural change alongside spiritual transformation.

Academically, Pastor Esther holds a Ph.D. in Missiology from Fuller Theological Seminary, a master’s degree from Africa International University, and advanced leadership training from the Haggai Institute in Hawaii. These qualifications underpin her strategies for holistic transformation. Her work has earned her numerous awards, including the 2024 Utumishi Bora Mentorship Award and East Africa Women of Excellence Award. Married for 32 years with two sons, she also serves on multiple governance boards. Through QEG, QENG, and her wider ministry, Pastor Esther continues to shape servant leaders and champion community development, leaving an enduring legacy of empowerment across Africa and beyond.
